The Hassenstein family offer a warm, friendly atmosphere at this popular hotel which stands on Interlaken's bustling main street opposite the popular Café Schuh.

Facilities: Relaxing lounge area, the popular "Buddy's pub" and dining room overlooking the street. Free Wi-Fi internet connection in lobby. Lift.

Meals: Generous buffet breakfast, hot and cold dishes. Half board supplement includes a four course evening meal plus salad buffet (available 1 Apr - 30 Apr).

Rooms: 34 rooms with telephone, radio alarm, hairdryer, safe and tea/coffee making facilities on request. Prices are based on a twin room with bath or shower and wc. The following room types are also available for a supplement (per person per night):

• Four bedded room with bath or shower, wc, two twin beds, two single sofa beds in lounge area and kitchenette (based on two adults sharing - children free of charge on a B&B basis)
